The Watsons Go to Birmingham – 1963 is a novel told from the perspective of a young person, describing important events in his life. Some of these stories are hilariously funny, some are sad, and some are a bit of both, all of them are important in shaping who Kenny is. 

In this task, you will write a short personal narrative about an important event in your own life. 

Your narrative should:

  • Be written in the first person 
  • Introduce the setting, characters, and a narrator
  • Be organized logically
  • Include descriptive, sensory details
  • Use precise words and phrases
  • Include a strong conclusion
  • Be at least 5 paragraphs long
