Target Task

Writing Prompt

Working in pairs, you will choose and read about a climate activist from one of the articles provided. Then, select one person in your pair to be the "interviewer" and one person to be the climate activist you read about. You will present an approximately one minute "interview" with your climate activist that will inform your class about who this person is and how they are taking action to avert the climate crisis in their own community.

Your interview should successfully educate your audience on the following details. However, you should ask your own questions – not just rewrite the questions below!

  • Name, age, location
  • What inspired their climate activism, and what is the specific goal they are working toward.
  • What challenges they have faced and achievements they have made.

At the end of the interview, the interviewer should explain to the class why this person's work is important and how they can be a role model for other teenagers.
