  • People often rely on friends for help. In what ways does Wilbur rely on Charlotte? Does Charlotte rely on Wilbur? Is their relationship balanced? Defend why or why not. 
  • Charlotte is committed to saving Wilbur. Defend why.  
  • What does it mean to be a good friend? Is Wilbur always a good friend? Are there ways in which he is not a good friend? 
  • Even though Charlotte doesn’t get any recognition for what she is doing she keeps doing it. What does this show about her? Should she be admired more? 
  • Does Wilbur deserve all the admiration he’s getting? Is he an admirable pig? Defend why or why not.
