Notes

  • This is the final discussion/writing-about-reading day. By this point students should have a deep understanding of each character and how they respond to events and challenges. However, students should be pushed to think of even more nuanced traits and explanations. 
  • Students should also be able to retell and chart the key plot events of the story and use the events to help them analyze a character. Therefore consider having students complete the retell independently to use as a formative assessment.
