Discussion & Writing Prompt

Write a thank you note to someone in your life who has helped you get books, has helped you get to school, or who has helped you learn how to read.

Your letter should include:

  • A clear reason for why you are thankful for the person
  • Two to three specific examples of how the person helped you
  • One to two vocabulary words from the unit
  • Three different sentence types, including a statement, question, and exclamation
