Explain what happens at the end of today’s reading, and what causes Jin’s transformation.  Provide specific evidence from the text to support your answer, drawing both on text and images from pages 189 through 198. You may also draw evidence from pages 28 through 29.

  • What does Wei-Chen’s behavior on pages 163-176 reveal about him and his friendship with Jin? Provide at least two pieces of specific evidence from these pages to support your answer. 

  • How does Greg respond to the idea that Jin and Amelia went out on a date? Why do you think he responds this way? Support your answer with specific evidence from images and text and carefully explain your thinking.

  • What impact does the conversation with Greg have on Jin? Support your answer with evidence from images and text pages 180 through 184.

  • How does Jin respond to Wei-Chen’s statement "We’re brothers, Jin. We’re blood" (p. 190)? Why does he most likely respond this way? Provide specific evidence from this chapter and carefully explain your thinking.
